Who they were
Jean-Pierre Néel was born at Sainte-Catherine-sur-Rivérie, in the Diocese of Lyons, in June 1832. A priest of the Paris Foreign Missions, he worked in China and was beheaded at Kaichou (Kweichow) on 18 February 1862.
