French-born missionary priest in Louisiana, one of the five Shreveport Martyrs of the 1873 yellow fever epidemic
Who they were
Born in Lanloup, Brittany, he was the first pastor of Holy Trinity in Shreveport and stayed to nurse the sick during the 1873 yellow fever epidemic, dying of the disease on 16 September 1873.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Diocese of Shreveport opened his cause as an offer of life after the Congregation for the Causes of Saints issued the nihil obstat on 21 October 2020; the diocesan phase closed at Holy Trinity Church, Shreveport, on 28 August 2025.
