Why that counted as sanctity
Cardinal Vallini, Vicar General for the diocese of Rome, presided on 28 June 2010 at the Lateran over the closing of the diocesan process for his canonization cause; the Augustinian Recollects record that he died in Rome in 1972 with a reputation for holiness. The nihil obstat is dated 27 November 2007.
