Who they were
At Jerusalem, Saints Xenophon and Mary and their sons John and Arcadius, who, after giving up senatorial rank and great wealth, are said by tradition to have embraced the monastic life in the Holy City with equal ardour of soul.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 26 January as a senator who, by tradition, embraced monastic life in Jerusalem with his wife and sons.
