Who they were
In the town of Carrión de Calatrava near Ciudad Real, likewise in Spain, Blessed martyrs John Peter (Joseph) Bengoa Aranguren, priest, and Paul Mary (Peter) Leoz y Portillo, religious of the Congregation of the Passion, and Jesús Hita Miranda, religious of the Society of Mary, who during the persecution were shot by militiamen out of hatred for the Church.
