The decree on martyrdom describes him as a priest of the Order of Preachers, born in 1877, who was a professor at Manila and then a preacher of the gospel and head of a college in the United States of America, and records that he was killed on 16 October 1936. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.
