Who they were
Joaquín Gisbert Aguilera was born on 14 April 1903 in the village of La Calahorra, in the province of Granada and the diocese of Guadix, and was ordained priest in 1926.
He was killed at Pozo de Cantavieja on 13 September 1936, and was beatified on 25 March 2017 by Pope Francis, among the companions of José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre.
