Who they were
Joel, son of Phatuel, is second among the twelve Minor Prophets. Nothing is known of his life; he worked in Judah, probably at Jerusalem, and may have been of priestly family.
His short book joins stern warnings of God's judgment, to wake the people from moral lethargy, with joyful promises of salvation and the coming Kingdom of God.
The miracles
He is honoured as a saint of the Old Testament; there was never a formal cause.

A prophet who called God's people to repentance and promised salvation.
