Who they were
At Mantua, Blessed John Bonus, hermit, who, as a young man, having left his mother, wandered through various regions of Italy working as a juggler and comic actor, but at the age of forty, after falling seriously ill, vowed to God to abandon the world to give himself wholly in penance and love to Christ and the Church, and founded a Congregation under the rule of Saint Augustine.
