Who they were
John Lloyd, a Welsh priest trained at Valladolid, was arrested in Glamorgan in November 1678 and imprisoned at Cardiff with the Jesuit Philip Evans.
Both were condemned for being priests and executed at Cardiff on 22 July 1679.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle. Canonised among the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales.
