Who they were
José Almunia López-Teruel was born on 18 March 1870 at Tíjola, in the province and diocese of Almería, and was ordained priest in 1893.
He was killed on 29 August 1936 on the road to Lubrín, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
