The Diocese of Zacatecas opened his cause on 19 November 1998, the date on which he was given the title Servant of God; the diocesan postulator named on the cause's site is Fr Angel Campos Mota, and the congregation he founded, the Daughters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of Holy Mary of Guadalupe, supports it. The cause's own website is now offline, so it was read through the Internet Archive.
