Who they were
José Arner Margalef, born at Alcolea de Cinca, near Huesca, on 3 September 1892, made his religious profession in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) on 8 September 1908 and was ordained a priest on 17 June 1916.
He was killed at San Sadurní d'Osormort, near Barcelona, on 8 August 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.
