José Gómez de Haro was born on 31 August 1899 at Vera and was ordained priest in 1924.

He was killed on 18 October on the bridge over the river at Antas, in the province of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
