A professed Salesian coadjutor brother, he died on 9 August 1936 after being badly beaten in a Madrid prison. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI with Enrique Sáiz Aparicio and 62 companions of the Society of St Francis de Sales.
