Why that counted as sanctity
The Congregation for the Causes of Saints declared the nihil obstat in September 2020, and Cardinal Mario Aurelio Poli, archbishop of Buenos Aires, opened the diocesan stage of his cause by decree in November 2021, from which point he is called a Servant of God.
