Who they were
José Vigil Cabrerizo was born at Huétor-Tájar in Granada on 11 October 1906 and was ordained priest at Seville on 20 May 1932, being given charge of the church of the San Jerónimo quarter. Recognised as a priest, he was shot on 18 July 1936 and died in hospital the following day. Pope Francis beatified him on 18 November 2023.
