Czech Franciscan who founded the Sisters of the Apostolate of the Third Order of St Francis
Who they were
Fr Jan Evangelista Urban was a Franciscan of the Order of Friars Minor, provincial minister, founder of the Studium Catholicum for lay theological study and of the Sisters of the Apostolate of the Third Order of St Francis. Arrested by the communist regime in 1950 and sentenced to thirteen years, he served them in several prisons.
