Who they were
Josefa Monrabal was a Sister of St Joseph of Girona and a nurse, working in hospital wards and in the homes of the sick.
Despite threats she stayed bravely at her post to care for the sick, trusting in God, and was killed with two of her sisters in the summer of 1936.

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.
