Who they were
Józef Bilczewski was born on 26 April 1860 at Wilamowice near Kęty, went to school at Wadowice and was ordained in Kraków on 6 July 1884.
As Archbishop of Lviv he worked with great charity to raise the morals and doctrinal formation of the clergy and Latin-rite faithful, and in wartime used every means to help the poor and needy.
