Juan Bazaga Palacios was born at Benamargosa on 8 December 1903 and ordained priest on 21 September 1929; he was killed on 11 August 1936. He was beatified on 26 February 2022 by Pope Francis among Cayetano Giménez Martín and fifteen companions.
