Who they were
Juan Blanch Badía, born at Puigpelat, near Tarragona, on 1 March 1873, was ordained a priest on 12 June 1897, entered the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) in 1901 and made his religious profession on 27 July 1902.
He was killed at Sant Pere dels Arquells on 31 August 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.
