Who they were
Juan Capdevila Costa was born at Sovelles in the province of Girona on 30 November 1883 and made his religious profession as a Claretian cooperator brother on 16 July.
He was killed on 25 July 1936 at Barcelona, and Pope Francis beatified him on 21 October 2017 among the 109 Spanish Claretian martyrs.
