The decree on martyrdom describes him as a lay brother of the Order of Preachers, born in 1895, who served the communities he belonged to and looked after the Order's temporal goods, and records that he was killed on 25 July 1936. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.
