Who they were
In Morocco, Blessed Juan de Prado, priest of the Order of Friars Minor and martyr, who was sent to Africa to give spiritual assistance to Christians held in slavery in the kingdoms of the unbelievers; arrested, he bore courageous witness to his faith in Christ before the tyrant Mulay al-Walid, on whose order he suffered martyrdom by fire.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 24 May as a Franciscan priest who served enslaved Christians in Morocco and was burned for his faith.
