Who they were
At Asunción in Paraguay, Saint Juan del Castillo, priest of the Society of Jesus and martyr, who, in one of the reductions, founded that same year by Saint Roque González and entrusted to his care, was subjected to cruel torments on the orders of a sorcerer and died stoned for Christ.
