Juan García Cervantes was born on 16 March 1885 at Garrucha, in the province and diocese of Almería, and was ordained priest in 1910.
He was killed on 22 September 1936 in the cemetery of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
