Who they were
Juan Garriga Pagés, born at San Martí de Sacalm, near Girona, on 31 August 1908, made his religious profession as a lay brother in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) on 8 December 1926.
He was killed at Lérida on 21 August 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.
