Who they were
Juan Ignacio Muñoz Nieto was a priest, born on 21 December 1896 and ordained on 26 March 1921, who was assistant parish priest of Beas de Segura and was killed on the death train at the Atocha station in Madrid on 12 August 1936. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
