Who they were
Juan María Alsina Ferrer, born at Seva, near Barcelona, on 5 October 1874, made his religious profession in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) on 8 December 1900 and was ordained a priest on 22 December 1907.
He was killed at Castellbell y Vilar, near Barcelona, on 16 September 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.
