Who they were
Juan Muñoz Quero was born on 29 August 1876 at Mecina Alfahar, in the province and archdiocese of Granada, and was ordained priest in 1904.
He was killed on 4 September 1936 in the cemetery of Berja, in the province of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
