Who they were
At Valencia in Spain, Blessed Juana María Condesa Lluch, virgin, who with a ready spirit of charity and sacrifice devoted herself in humble industry to helping the poor, children and young working women, for whose protection and instruction she founded the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Immaculate Conception, Protectresses of Working Women.
