Who they were
Juana Pérez Abascal was born on 20 October 1887, made her religious vows as a Daughter of Charity of St Vincent de Paul in 1913 and nursed at the El Neveral hospital in Jaen. The decree says that on 12 August 1936 two sisters travelling from Jaen to Madrid were forced off their train and killed at Madrid, and thrown into a pit in the Vallecas cemetery; she was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.
