Who they were
Brother Julián Alfredo (Vilfrido Fernández Zapico) was born at Cifuentes de Rueda, León, on 24 December 1903. At 17 he entered the Capuchin novitiate at Salamanca but illness sent him home, and he was not readmitted.
At 22 he entered the novitiate of the Brothers of the Christian Schools at Bujedo. He was killed with his community at Turón on 9 October 1934, in the Asturias revolution.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
