Who they were

A professed religious of the Hospitaller Order of St John of God, in the world Miguel, born on 11 May 1881 at Sueca in the province of Valencia; he was prior of the community and died praying for those who killed him. He was shot on 30 July 1936 with the community of the novitiate house at Calafell in the province of Tarragona. He was beatified on 25 October 1992 by John Paul II, among Braulio María Corres, Federico Rubio and sixty-nine companions of the Hospitaller Order of St John of God.

The Roman Martyrology names him among the Hospitaller martyrs of Spain.
