Who they were
At Lyon in France, the burial of Saint Just, bishop, who, having left the episcopate after the Council of Aquileia, withdrew together with the lector Viator to a hermitage in Egypt, where for some years he led a humble life in the company of the monks; his holy body, together with the bones of Saint Viator, was afterwards translated to Lyon.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 2 September as a bishop of Lyon who left his see to live humbly among the monks of Egypt.
