The Acta Apostolicae Sedis give his religious name as Justiniano de San Gabriel de la Virgen Dolorosa, born on 18 August 1910 at Alba de los Cardanos in the diocese of Palencia, professed in 1926, ordained priest in 1934 and named teacher of Greek at the house of studies of Daimiel, where he shared the lot of that community of martyrs.
