Who they were
At Alcalá de Henares in Spain, the holy brothers Justus and Pastor, martyrs, who, while still boys, left their writing tablets at school and ran of their own accord to meet martyrdom: seized at once and beaten with rods by order of the governor, they were both put to the sword for Christ by their executioner, while they comforted one another with mutual encouragement.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 6 August as a schoolboy who ran of his own accord to martyrdom with his brother Pastor at Alcalá de Henares.
