Who they were
Justus came to England in 601 with the second band of missionaries sent by St Gregory the Great. In 604 St Augustine consecrated him first Bishop of Rochester.
Driven into exile in Gaul during the pagan reaction after King Ethelbert's death, he returned after a year. He became fourth Archbishop of Canterbury and died about 627.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
