Who they were
Ludwika Szczęsna was born in Poland on 18 July 1863. With St Józef Sebastian Pelczar she co-founded the Sisters Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Kraków, taking the name Klara, and served as its first superior.
The sisters cared for the sick, servants and working girls. She died in Kraków on 7 February 1916.
The miracles
A healing was approved by Pope Francis for her beatification. Its details are not given in the sources we found.
One more approved miracle is needed for canonisation.
Why that counted as sanctity
The case of a person was examined by the Church's doctors and theologians and approved as a miracle on 5 June 2015, opening the way to beatification. Beatification followed on 27 September 2015 by Cardinal Angelo Amato, for Pope Francis.
