She gave up paid work in 1969 to be a full-time unpaid catechist and was among the first lay ministers in the Archdiocese of Manila authorised to give Communion.

Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara of Pasig inaugurated the diocesan inquiry into her cause on 21 August 2024 at the Minor Basilica and Archdiocesan Shrine of St Anne in Taguig, after the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints granted the nihil obstat in 2024.
