The Roman Martyrology remembers him among the martyrs of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God killed at Paracuellos del Jarama near Madrid in Spain; the Acts of the Apostolic See describe him as a professed brother, born on 5 April 1867 at Idiazábal in the diocese of Vitoria, shot on 28 November 1936. He was beatified by John Paul II on 25 October 1992.
