Who they were
Leandro José Aloy Domenech, in the world Iosephus, was born at Betera near Valencia, in Spain, on 16 November 1872 and bound himself by perpetual vows in the Hospitaller Order of St John of God on 20 December 1903. The decree places him with the brothers of the Valencia community, at the house in the Malvarrosa district, who were killed at Valencia on 4 October 1936 and buried in the district cemetery, and he was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.
