Who they were
Born in Potenza on 4 May 1893, she moved to Rome as a child, taught in a primary school and worked in a bank and a college library; she married Ulisse Amendolagine in 1930, had five children, belonged to the Carmelite confraternity of the Holy Scapular, and died of cancer on 3 July 1951.

The diocesan tribunal of the Vicariate of Rome opened the diocesan phase of the processes on the life and virtues of the Servants of God Ulisse Amendolagine and Lelia Cossidente Amendolagine on 18 June 2004, at a session addressed by Cardinal Camillo Ruini.
