In the neighbourhood of Tours in Gallia Lugdunensis, in present-day France, the commemoration of Saint Leobatius, abbot, who, placed by his master Saint Ursus at the head of the newly founded monastery of Sénevière, persevered in the highest holiness to a great old age.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
