Who they were
Leopoldina Naudet was born in Florence on 31 May 1773 into a family of the Grand Duke of Tuscany's court; her father came from Soissons in France and her mother from a Hungarian family. She grew up at the Habsburg court and became a lady-in-waiting to the Archduchess Marianna in Prague.
In 1799 she took vows in a new religious society and was made its superior. She founded the Sisters of the Holy Family in 1809, combining a strong call to prayer with the education of girls, and died in Verona on 17 August 1834.
The miracles
A miracle through her intercession was approved by decree on 21 December 2016, and she was beatified in Verona on 29 April 2017. The sources checked do not describe it. One more approved miracle is needed for canonisation.
