Who they were
Lisandro Carretero Fuentes was born on 12 November 1883 at Ohanes, in the province and diocese of Almería, and was ordained priest in 1908.
He was killed on 31 August 1936 at Pozo de la Lagarta, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
