Who they were
Louis Didion was a layman born at Ghyvelde on 2 May 1917 and baptised there on 6 May; a Scout, he took part as a worker in the apostolate in the prison camps alongside the priests Roger Pannier and Edmond Cléton, and for this he was arrested on 18 July 1944. He died at Buchenwald on 16 February 1945, aged 27. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV.
