Who they were
Lucia Filippini was born at Tarquinia, near Viterbo, on 13 January 1672 to an honest, respected family, and was orphaned young.
Called to the monastery of St Clare at Montefiascone, she devoted herself to catechesis and to educating poor girls and women, and founded the Religious Teachers Filippini.
