Who they were
Ludwik Mroczek, born at Kęty on 11 August 1905, prepared for the priesthood in Poland and was ordained in 1933, serving at Oświęcim, Lviv, Częstochowa and elsewhere. Arrested on 22 May 1941, he was taken to the Montelupich prison and then to Auschwitz, where he died on 5 January 1942. He was beatified on 6 June 2026 by Pope Leo XIV.
